Stephen Krecklo, aka ScubaSaul, has been fascinated by video games since playing Electron on his cousin’s TRS-80. After a childhood obsession with his NES in the 80’s, he left games for guitars, turning his teenage pastime into a 20+ year career of performing, recording, and composing music.
After leaving behind the demands of touring with acts such as K-OS, Small Sins, and Sloan, he shifted focus to the world of screen composing, creating music for film, television, and advertising. With a newly established work-from-home routine, he re-discovered his love of gaming through the growing community of retro gamers on Twitch.
He currently splits his time between a busy composing schedule, and regular streaming on the platform, experiencing both modern classic retro games with fresh eyes, speed-running Contra, and even creating game-inspired music on-stream.
